Meet the Doctors - Ani Khachatoorians, PT, DPT

Updated: Jun 22, 2020

Dr. Ani Khachatoorians, PT, DPT is a California State licensed Physical Therapist who received her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on exercise sciences and biomechanics in 2014 from California State University of Northridge. She completed her professional training at Western University of Health Sciences where she earned her Clinical Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2018 where she served as a departmental ambassador and completed affiliations in the orthopedic, neurological and intensive care settings. She is a certified Functional Movement Technique (FMT) Level 1 practitioner, Certified Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Level 1 practitioner, Rocktape certified and is currently training to become a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Dr. Khachatoorians is proficient in manual therapy treatments targeting patients of all ages and across all activity levels from highly sedentary people to highly active populations. She has experience in general orthopedics, sports medicine, pre/post-surgical care, performance enhancement and injury prevention. She never gets tired of learning new treatment/training techniques, perspective and the latest that medical literature has to offer.

Dr. Khachatoorians evaluates and believes in the Full Body Approach that combines knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and function within the context of the full body structure, function and movement patterns. She works to restore compromised tissue by addressing mobility, strength, stability and movement patterning through a variety of manual techniques, active modalities, therapeutic exercise and patient education that is individualized for each patient. Building rapport and trust with her patients are the key foundation to problem-solving and getting them back to doing the things they love and aspire to do.

She currently resides in Glendale, CA where she was born and raised, with her dangerously cute dachshund, Chloe. In her free time, she enjoys weight-lifting, hiking, spending time with family, and anything else that involves adventure.
